Mum's the word...

Pay no attention... Just a personal note...

...loved the elephant!

Oh, Yeah...

The lighter side of The Time Sink is still flowing...

...I'm just posting at a little slower rate from the beach. Something about rest and batteries to recharge. ...and sleep!

Speaking of sleep, it's rather well known that I'm not much of a 'morning person' (unlike Herself). ...and things weren't helped yesterday as I fired up the laptop and started to read Dave's intro to the week while the kids were watching Scooby Doo on TV.

Nothing like reading the dialog coming from the TV without having a clue about how it was happening...

Hey Cecil!

The next time you run out of ingredients, take a look here!

Webvan may be gone, but these guys are doing business in central California...

The Traffic Report, Update...

The morning commute is still much lighter than normal...

...although I've noticed quite a few Arizona license plates on the surface roads during the day.

It must be that last week before school starts for some people...

Hannibal van der Woning

I'd be heading the other way.

The Traffic Report...

If this morning's commute is any indication, this could be an easy week on the roadways here in central California...

I wonder where they all went?

"Love's austere and lonely offices"...

I'd read that line at the end of the Robert Hayden poem in Ciara's Saturday post earlier today...

...and I'm reminded of it again in this late hour after Shelley and I made the eighty mile round trip to retrieve our boys after it turned out they really weren't ready to spend the night so far away...

Ah well, it was only eighty; I can recall my father doing 2200 one time...

...and the same as then: NP;N$.

Thanks, Dad.

Not a meme...

But it won't quite die...

...garret's bird, that is. First him, then me, then him, then me...

...and now Don Armstrong checks in as spring is breaking in The Land Down Under:

I went for a row
on the river Po;
but a raven kept me on the go.
Every time I went to shore,
quoth the raven, "never moor".
