Bear with me while I indulge myself...
Mother and son...

...but I don't get many of these.

Catching lightning...

Every so often I develop a need to link a Matt Rossi piece...

Thursday Threesome...

Onesome. The Sun. Blow some sunshine my way, and tell me what makes you feel joyful. Music. Very simply, I can usually blow away a bad mood (or at least put it at bay) with an upbeat tune. This morning on the way in to work, the radio popped out Jump, Jump, Jump by True Vibe: Can you feel the joy? Don’t it make you want to jump, jump, jump... with enough energy to make me want to join in. Coolness.

Twosome. The Moon. By the light of the silvery moon....tell me about your most romantic evening. Maybe, just maybe the dinner where I learned Shelley was pregnant with Bradley... Daniel was with a grandma and we'd gone out to dinner at Shelley's favorite Chinese restaurant for what I thought was just a night together. She'd excused herself from the table right after we ordered; and when she came back, she had a pair of fortune cookies and tossed one my way saying it could be an appetizer. When I broke mine open, I found a fortune that said, "We're pregnant!". Talk about a shocker. ...but a nice way to start the evening.

Threesome. And The Stars. What's your sign, baby? And do you believe in that sort of thing, anyway? Scorpio. ...and while I don't follow the astrology side of things, I do think people born during the same times of the year may share some traits since they were growing in mom's belly during similar seasons. F'rinstance, people born after the shorter days of winter and such (or the hotter days of summer). 'Course, that would be reversed with our friends from Down Under...

How about you?

Yeah, it's time to go on meds...

So there was this flat-bed cart at the local Costco this morning, sitting at the end of a back aisle. ...and the neatly lettered sign taped to the handle read, Bad Wheel.

That didn't seem to be quite enough, so I pulled out my ever present Sharpie marker and added, No Cookie!

I just couldn't help myself...

Humor, delayed timer style...

"Oh, my gosh! It's pouring down raining outside and you guys left the pool toys out!"

Brad: Starts to sprint for the door...

Daniel: Five count, "Wait a minute..."

Shelley, without even her morning coffee: 0.01 nanosecond to lift a sardonic eyebrow in disgust at my feeble attempt to bring a bit of humor into the morning.

Back later; off to buy stuff (rain or not)...

Ya' know, Lynn...

We pretty much have to read that far...

...and it is hard not to be sad.

...but you are leading by example, both in your story and in your comments.

Thank you.

Sweet duty...

When seniority counts:

The X-Files is filming up in the hills today...

...and asked for two units to stand by <g>.

Weather whiplash...

Ninety degrees yesterday...

We'll be lucky to reach seventy today.

The winds started around 11 PM, and ramped up to over thirty-five mph in a matter of minutes (it's calm now).

What's next?

Couldn't hurt...

John's mom is undergoing open heart surgery this morning. A few prayers and warm thoughts for both of them...

I just couldn't let the day pass...

...without mentioning the efforts put forth by kd when Melly's site went down hard.

Nothing special... It's just nice to see people helping each other.

Like Miz Kitty and the guy who shouldn't have been there...

A nice way to end the weekend...
