The Thursday Threesome...

Onesome. Do a Little Dance...Everyone loves to watch a good dancer, so tell us your all time favorite movie dance scene...and why. Oh, this one will have people shaking their heads: I love the dance scenes from a movie called All that Jazz, roughly based on the life of Bob Fosse, who choreographed the show.

Twosome. Make a Little Love...Spill it! What do you do to make the night romantic for that certain someone? Lose the kids! ...easier said than done, what with the grandparents an hour away and not really any other way to provide a relaxing environment. Although a candle here and there...

Threesome. Get Down Tonight! Party it up, Getting your Groove on, or whatever you call it, everyone has a different style that they consider a good time. Let us in on what yours is. Ah, getting away from home for a while. ...out to dinner, over to the coast, even a day trip, that's what works for me. ...and the kids can come along on these <g>!

How about you? Come on by and let us know, over on The Back Porch...

Say what???

Bradley, fresh from the day at the water park:

Dad, you should have seen me! I went down the Black Hole! It sucks the life right out of you!!!

Uh-huh...

No, really, Dad. It sucks the life right out of you. You start out with this straight drop and then is does this twist this way... (accompanied by great contortions and gyrations).

Yeah... Was it fun?

Dad, it sucks the life...

Uh-huh, I've been down it Brad...

Huh??? Like this? ...or when you were a kid?

Vapor lock...

Excuse me??? "Like this?"

Made it...

Not without some unexpected baggage; but hey, these things happen...

Lunch came of very well! Shelley had the timing perfect on the crock pots: about five pounds of tri-tip in each cooking for about six hours on high and another six on low. Man, the meat was falling apart!

This was the first time we've actually tried to host a major family event at our place (it's a tad small for big get togethers), but it all worked out rather well. ...other than me being just a touch tired <g>.

But you know what? I got a major roadblock out of the way last night while I was waiting to start the meat: I've been trying to finish up a six-parter (Crisis of Faith) that's been on a back burner for way too long. ...and last night was enough to see it through. Cool. ...and that should take care of a mental block that's been holding me back from a couple of other projects.

Yeah...

A full day...

Brandy had the right idea: make a four day out of this and just kick it in gear and get things done....

It hasn't worked out quite that well here. We're having guests over Sunday for Father's Day and Shelley was in a quandry about how to cook the triptip: I could do it on the Beast, but that would involve me cooking on Father's Day. Yeah, so???

'So', is that the steaks are going to be cooked in crock pots overnight. ...and I'm elected (self-selected) to handle the startup chores. ...and the way things are timing out, I'll have to stay up until 0100 local to start things off.

Gee, talk about your tough duty <g>!
