Is that like a Freudian slip?

Just after I got into work this morning, I found myself perched on the edge of my chair as I checked something on the screen in front of me and confirmed it with the person on the other end of the phone line...

...and as I 'relaxed' from that bit of business and settled back in my chair, I reflexively reached down to fasten my seat belt.

Ya' know, sometimes I really think my subconcious has a little too much to say in my life. ...or maybe it's just a little too Friday on my part of the planet!

Tommy, can you hear me???

John Entwistle, gone at 57...

Any thoughts on that?

<sigh>...

I am just totally amazed at the number of things I accomplished today!

But I can only imagine how nice it would feel if any of the things I had scheduled had been completed rather than set aside for the unscheduled things that did get done...

I think it's past time to go home...

The Thursday Threesome...

Onesome: Soak--Like a sponge, what class in school did you seem to absorb the easiest? Math. ...until I hit calculus in college and the teacher would fall asleep in mid-sentence while writing on the board. ...and wake up to continue the example at some point quite distant from where she trailed off. I never quite recovered from that one...

Twosome: Up--What things always bring you up when you are down? My friends if they are available; music if they're not. Soak up the Sun is a great example of a 'pick me up' song...

Threesome: The Sun--Enjoy the sun? What's your favorite outdoor activity? Oh, my, yes! I rollerblade almost daily in good weather and prefer to live outside my house during the those months when I can be working in the garden or kicking back by the pool...

How about you? Come on by and let us know, over on The Back Porch...

Okay, here you go!

That tree is an American Smoketree, Anacardiaceae Cotinus obovatus...

A shot of the leaf structure is here, with picture of the 'bloom' here.

...and as to that fascinating flower?

It's an artichoke in bloom!

Whew...

...finally caught a break!

Hi!

Hmmm... I guess I owe the answers to the contents of those two pictures...

Okay, I'll be back in a bit. First things first: go home and blade <g>!

Still teasing...
Name that flower!

Now, this one I happen to know!

6/23/2002 4:16:15 PM

Just teasing...
Any bets???

Yepper, that's for real, no trickery involved!

I wouldn't mind knowing what it is though...
