The Thursday Threesome...

Whew! Sarah's already hit the dictionary for our Summer reading fun!

::Capricious: Governed or characterized by impulse or whim, lacking rational basis or likely to change suddenly::

Onesome: Characterized by impulse--Do you you consider yourself impulsive or do you tend to think everything through before you make a move? I usually like to plan everything out so things get done in order and on the first try. Then again, I may be one of the worst impulse shoppers you'll every meet!

Twosome: lacking rational basis--If you are impulsive, do you rationalize and justify your actions? Like, since that item you bought on a whim was on sale, you really saved money by buying it? Oh, yeah, big time. Like the never ending supply of screws from that big hardware clearance sale...

Threesome: or likely to change suddenly-- When you make up your mind, does it stay made up or do you tend to change your mind at the last minute? ...or do you waffle back and forth until you're forced to decide? Made up; done deal; no need to talk about it anymore. But...

How about you? Yes, no, or maybe? Let us know, over on The Back Porch...

A non-stormy week...

After the 101 degree days the week before, last week's weather pattern did its "California Tease" where we have thunderheads over the hills and up in the high country, but no rain actually falling because it is too hot. Last Monday was the day with the closest thing to rainfall on the valley floor.

We had the sun driven behind one bank of clouds that came down off the hills...

...with some serious looking cloudage to the north.

...and virga showing up nearly overhead!

...but no rain. At least we had some decent sunset action going that evening...
