It rained last night, one of those long, hard, cleansing rains that washes the trees and the air clean. I got up early and decided to take a walk. Yep, even before coffee: I wanted the coolness of the morning and the clearness of the air to be my wake up...
The morning temperature and dewpoint were doing their dance to decide whether we would have fog, the mountains blurring in the distance as the the mist gathered.
The usual first stop in the mornings is just down the block to see what the nice lady there has blooming...
...and of course I found a sky flower while I was there.
...as some flowers were thriving.
...and others surrendered to Winter's start.
Around the corner, evergreens were holding court with the last of the Autumn leaves...
Leaves were finding other places to attach themselves...
...and trees were hanging out ornaments for the season.
...and some bushes joined in.
It was a very nice morning for a walk around the neighborhood; but the path home called all too soon...
