Do dee doo dee doooo... Looking ahead we only have another week or so until Easter Vacation for the boys. ...and if you think I'm ready (based on the whining about homework from me), you'd be correct!
...also ready for a change of pace may be the weather. Yeah, "they" are saying our 80's we've been having are due for a drop, perhaps as low as the 60's and perhaps as soon as tomorrow. What with the poor bulbs blooming out in short order with the unseasonable heat, maybe the freesia that are just starting their run will have a chance...
Oooo, rain! ...and maybe more next Monday? ...and a twenty degree drop from the weekend? Nice so far...

Shelley and I went over to check on a pet food recall, and of course I wandered off. ...and the cat watching the bird? Sheer luck: I had the small camera on my belt and was able to take a couple of shots. ...and the cats gave up; the bird just hung out on the gate for a while not caring about the hunter noises coming from just a few feet away.
...and so I wandered out to capture a sunset this evening since the storm hung around most of the day. Instead, the field itself held the colors...
"Full Mental Geek"...
...and after a fairly long and well-packed week, the lawn is done, the south-forty has the weeds knocked down, and dinner became grilled burgers after I bladed a bit.
Stick a fork in me; I'm done!
Outcome? ...not too bad. We get back from one and pay the other.
...and the rest of the weekend is just supposed to be one of finishing some cleanup and getting a few projects handled in preparation for some other ones.
Oh, I almost forgot! For those wondering (obsessed?) with the blue web over on the photoblog? Well, that's what you might see if you took a small camera and balanced it on the neck of a racked five-gallon water bottle and took a shot looking toward the window behind it...
