It's like half the staff took the afternoon off for some reason...
11/15/02 2:40:57 PMFoggy morning...
Actually, yesterday's shot; today it's too thick to see anything but maybe the outlines of the trees...

Sigh... Daniel had a poem due in the morning, which means the division of labor works like this:
Daniel writes the poem.
Shelley does the data entry.
I handle the formatting.
(Yeah, yeah, I know; but we're working to our strengths: his lessons are more important than the computer skills at this point in his development.)
...and Shelley checks in on the teacher's web site as she's finishing up for the night to find a new wrinkle: "Must include a Thanksgiving picture". Oh, bother...
Ah... Just a minute... Okay:
Cool, one graphic custom made to order in just a moment or two... How? I stepped outside and took a shot of Shelley's latest flag!
Heh. ...and the speckles? Well, it rained the other day; that means the fog has rolled in. ...and the fog here does not come in on "little cat feet"; it just settles down on us like an over fed lion and takes a nap for the winter.
On the other hand, it does lend itself to some decent imagery...
The Thursday Threesome...
Shake Is there anything that makes you shake in your shoes? Any phobias you'd like to share? Let's see... "Buggy" surprises bother me; I prefer a little warning. ...and heights. The Christmas lights will be challenge once again.
Rattle What's rattling around in your mental trunk that you need to take care of? I have two web projects that absolutely need to get finished. ...and then there's the little matter of a Christmas present.
and Roll When you run up against an unexpected challenge, do you adapt and roll with it or scrap your original plan and go with Plan B? Depends... Sometimes I can warp a plan around the problem; but in things like the Grand Move here (Brad getting the library), the original plan is soooo gone it's barely a memory <g>...
How about you? Roll out your answers and let us know, over on The Back Porch...

Heads up!
If you've been following the Ornament Exchange this year, you're already aware of the email problems that cropped up just as notices were sent out: some people received their notifications about who to send their ornament to and others did not...
...and things still aren't working and poor Jenna is about half crazy with worry. Okay, easy fix: she's asked participants to please post to the Ornament Exchange site to let her and Sherry know who has received their emails and who has sent out their ornaments. Way cool. ...until something on her server took a dive this morning.
Yeah, comments were lost (I had a quick visual on some of them) and there's no posting just yet. So please keep an eye on the Ornament page and let her know your status as soon as the server is serving again.
...and just in case:
Jenna, I got my email and my ornament is on its merry way...

Early this morning...
...like about 0100, I went out to bring Shelley's van into the garage. ...and I found out she'd gotten all worried about the rain and the fog and the cold and one of the neighborhood cats. Meet Prince:

Yeah, well...
I was supposed to be working on other projects, but my legs were bugging me from going up and down the attic ladder a little too much...
Welcome to Winter at the Timesink!
...and while I was kicking back yesterday, I linked an explanation on the About page for the pretty colored squares you see if you drop by the portal or the Stories page.
Yeah, self-indulgent as heck this weekend...
