The Thursday Threesome... Onesome: Starbucks. Are you a coffee drinker? Yeah? What's your favorite brew? Not? Then what gets you going each day? Well, the early fifties is one heck of a time to take up a new vice; but earlier this year, I put down the Pepsi and started in with espresso-based drinks. Now my morning routine usually consists of brewing something up before I even get in the shower... Twosome: Christmas. Are you ready? ...or is it still a little early? Way early. Way, way, early. Way, way, way early. I mean, if December 24th is good enough for most men for shopping, who am I to buck that trend? Okay, I'll put some decorations up, but not until the day after Thanksgiving... Threesome: Blend. Is autumn blending into winter for you? ...or are you already there? Oh, my... We haven't even had leaf fall here. ...and I had to hunt for that tree pic below. Nope, we're still locked into this Indian Summer/Autumn/maybe thing. How about you? Brew up your answers and let us know, over on The Back Porch...  Any thoughts on that? Perspective...  The crane is being used to erect a new Federal courthouse in the downtown. It's one block in front of the building in the background. The building in the background has been the tallest building in the city for decades. No longer... Not to make political commentary, especially after my earlier post, but the new building will have approximately half the number of stories as the one in the background... Ever have one of those days when your breakers are about to trip, only you don't quite realize it? ...and then a friend posts something and you email back and forth a bit and realize you probably need to wipe the spittle up from the keyboard before it shorts out? ...and then you realize you are very, very grateful for friends who listen and dialog with you and allow you to realize that there's some stuff that really, really needed to get out. ...and before you go home to interact with kids and such.
