The Thursday Threesome...

Onesome- I hear and I forget. What’s the one thing you’ve had explained to you over and over, but it still goes in one ear and out the other? Hmmm... Databases... Yep, the relational stuff still 'escapes' me; it's like there's a "/" or a "&" somewhere in my code. (Okay, that's just there for the geeks in the crowd <g>!) Oh, and Shelley likely would have a thing or two to add here!

Twosome- I see and I remember. Is there anything you’ve learned how to do just by watching someone else do it first? Almost all my medical training was under the "See one, do one, teach one" system. It's an excellent way to learn, although somewhat intense. Let's see... Yep, we can add in all the wiring tricks and tips my dad taught me...

Threesome- I do and I understand. Is there anything you excel at that you taught yourself to do? HTML and web coding. I think that's one thing I've managed to handle well enough. ...and it's still a work in progress.

Sunset...

The fog had lifted by late afternoon downtown, so I called Shelley and asked her if it was clearing out by our place. Her "yes" was good enough to get me home from the office to blade.

It's socked in solid again now, but for a time it was a clear, cold evening...

Linkage...

Donna has been working on this site as a labor of love for the last month or so. She's been learning HTML and CSS on the 'learn by doing' system. Right now she's pretty much done with tables and is about to move into pure CSS-driven coding (she didn't know that until just now when she read this <g>).

Today, she opened it up for public view and will be presenting the group's first web site to them at Tuesday's meeting. Paying forward at its finest, I would say...
