Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday SundaySomehow the post I had outlined for this evening ended up sidetracked: The Eagles "Farewill I" tour ended up on that blasted timesink of a "Tube". Ah, the little ones have left the nest... No, not ours; the doves. Mama was trying to get them out on Sunday, but I think the strangeness of the rain (they were born the day before Mother's Day and haven't seen any) kept them from coming out. ...and they were there this morning; but we saw a lot of in and out activity from the parents this evening and our after dinner check showed them gone... Oh, sure, we'll leave their room as it is just to remember them (or in case they come back), but before long we'll redo it and turn it into something the remaining members of the household can use. That's days, people, mere days: I want the outside tunes back so I can rock out a bit while working outside <g>! ...and maybe a wide screen? ...and it is a bit of a short shrift week here; I'm trying to keep things as low key around the house as I can. Both boys still have schoolwork to do and we're running headlong into end of the year events. Shelley and I are both busy at our jobs and the best thing to do is to get people into bed early enough for a full night's sleep Well, I lost the DSL link yesterday evening. ...and I didn't figure the world would end if I didn't reconfigure to dialup until today. ...and it was back up by this morning. ...but then this evening got busy. So I'm behind here and on email once again. It's been cooling down all week, with the winds kicking up until tonight it sounds like a freight train roaring through the back yards on this block. ...but that should make for a nicely relaxed holiday for some here. ...and maybe even give the travelers a bit of a break. I think I'm caught up on most of the email; if you sent something my way that needed or deserved an answer, please try me again as it may have gotten caught in AT&T's spam filters. Let's see... One hundred miles north, one graduation lunch, one break with Brad for a few cemetery photos, one Confirmation ceremony/Mass, one dinner back at the house, and one hundred miles south to home... ...and yesterday's adventures yielded enough photo time to be able to put up a rollover shot for Sunday and a splash page for Monday. The wineglass was just going to be a concept shot: Shelley's brother left his on the side of his grill while he was cooking; I just liked the lighting on it and took a shot series. It wasn't until I got home and looked at the enlargement that I noticed the setting sun and the trees on the left side. ...and the reverse image of those on the right side. I'll take it though <g>!
