The Thursday Threesome...

Onesome: Shower- Shower or a bath? Which one works best for you? ...or do you have uses for both? Showers! It takes too long to draw a bath around here. ...and I think we need a larger water heater anyway. ...although, after an 'attic day' like I had last Saturday, I'd have preferred a bunch of epsom salts in a deep tub of water!

Twosome: Shave- How often do you shave? Ladies, what do you consider shave-worthy? Come on, you know what I mean ;) ! ...and guys: how about you? Any facial hair? Mustache, since 1969 or so... I'm still too young to grow a decent beard <g>.

Threesome: Style- How much time do you spend in front of the mirror in the morning, fixing your hairstyle (and face, for the ladies). Shaving? A minute or two. The hair? Less than than. I prefer low maintenance...

What works for you? Let us know, over on The Back Porch...

Come on over and chat!

Ya' think???

A "Caution" inside a coffee mug I picked up the other day:

When placing fluids over 200 degrees F (93C) in this mug, wait 2 minutes before placing lid on to your mug.

I'm not sure about you, but...

On a midwinter's eve...

Night was fast approaching and the provisions needed for the evening were unreachable, left in haste in the conveyance on the approach road... Just outside the castle walls, terror stalked in the long shadows of a late winter afternoon. Inside, the Queen and hers huddled in horror, the sound of the latest victim's bones shattering in the jaws of the beast their last memory before the lowered bar on the door closed them off from the world. Thankfully, as they'd approached the entrance, tales of a land running in red had sent them inside ahead of the killer's approach...

...at least that's what it sounded like on the phone call. ...seems Prince caught himself a varmint and was munching down when Shelley brought the boys home from school.

...interesting discussion when I got home: "Dad, it had to be a rat; it was just huge!" Hmmm... I hadn't heard of any rats near here. Mice, for sure, and possum; but they usually take down the cats.

"Hey Daniel, what's this box doing over here in this garden?"

That's where he was eating the rat; the head's still there..."

WT??? Oh. Yeah, that's all that's left...

...and why Shelley won't be reading my pages for about a month: she just knows I have a picture and she's sure it'll show up here <g>!

The dinner hour...

Of course I had no comment.

I won't even invoke my rules for salvaging food...

(...but that ham's comin' out of there and into rolls for mini-sandwiches!)
