People and places...
Another late start to the day...
...and, as usual, the people make up for it:
Sheila's new site is up! Enjoy...
Garret's waiting in a cool place until his main site is back up. Zopefully, soon... (sorry...)...and John at ColdMarble gave me a memory jog when he asked about our first cameras.
More later...

Late night...
Hey, Ciara! Wanna trade weather patterns?
We didn't drop below 100F until sometime after 1930 this evening...

The weather report, Part II...
Shelley just posted the temp at the house as 104.9.
That was at 1430...
It's going to be a long summer.

The Farmer's Almanac...
The way I learned it when I worked out in the hills, add thirty degrees or so to your sunrise temperature to figure your high for the day.
Today, it was over 70 when I got up...
5/31/01 9:47:09 AM
I can't wait...
One more day...

Vignette...
Yep, I can almost hear the conversation two of the local boys must have been having as they waited for Air Force One to land:
"Hey, let's stop off and just hang out here by the airport and wait for that big ol' plane to come in."
"Sure, we've got nothing else to do on the way home from the gun shop."
Oh, yeah. Pointer for those hanging out at the airport perimeter during a Presidential visit: they really do care about things like semi-automatic rifles. ...even if they are in the trunk.

Who, me?
Maybe in a bit...

Synergy...
Sogyo, meet Mr. Saenz.
Across miles, years and cultures, two authors with a similar concept. ...at least to these eyes.

Personal notes...
Dave, thank you...
Lisa, you're quite welcome...

Coda...
Well, it's been two weeks and some of the dust has settled. Time to put a different light on that memorial post some of you saw in your referrers...

The weather report...
When I get home, I'll have to post the picture from this weekend of this poor little ranunculus over by the barbecue... Everytime the weather cools, it tries another bloom; then the heat hits and it gets blasted. ...then it cools off again.
Yesterday: maybe 85; Thursday: maybe 105...
...and you thought mood swings were bad.

Of course they light up...

Picture day...
Kicking back on a day off:
Shelley mentioned Daniel and Bradley spent Saturday evening at Scott's; here's what Sunday evening showed after a day of, "No, Mom; we got lots of sleep!" Brad's on the left; Scott's on the right. Daniel was out helping me.
...and I did get a thing or two accomplished over the holiday:
See you in a bit...

Let's synchronize our watches...
Umm, for me it's now 1645 +/-.
...and I'm just restarting the day. We got up this morning after a full night's sleep, went to church, and came home to the usual chaos. I hit the hardware store for some bark for the gardens, came back home, had brunch and passed out. Man, I know better than to get a full night's sleep; now I'll be useless for the next day or two!
Hmmm... Stay in bed too long and you too may find yourself listed on Netwatch <g>! Oh, and the flowers: these guys lost their overhead sunlight over the last few years as the trees grew out and over them. ...and I cannot seem to safely dig them up through the roots of the redwood trees. In that shot, they've laid their stalks across a rock as they seek the sun.
It's time to start the day. ...as the East Coast settles in after dinner.

Busy day...
I'll try to get to the email and the project on Sunday. For now, I'll leave you with these guys:
