Fire and Ice...
So it's cold where you are? Yeah. ...and we're playing with spring here (between wet, cold, drizzly sessions with the fog shark). ...but Patti's been thinking again:
...and neither would know their own self-worth without the other there to constantly balance and check against.
No tissues needed this time, just a nice read...

Onesome: Still- Can't hold still? What type of music gets you going? I mean to where your just have to crank it up and start moving to the beat! Hmmm... Give me a beat and I'll start moving... Any beat. It really doesn't take much; the other night, Daniel and I had Jars of Clay's Revolution cranked up pretty loud in the car!
Twosome: Life- Life in the fast lane? What would it take to slow you down a bit and let you relax this weekend? Hmmm? ...or are you going to turn That Game on? (...and who's going to win?) Well, it was supposed to be a kickin' it weekend, but the painter just scheduled in for Tuesday on Brad's room. That means I have a longish list to take care of on Saturday. ...'cause Sunday will be game day for Shelley and me! Dunno'... The number one defense and the number one offense? Could be interesting...
Threesome: In watercolor- Hey! How about wall art? What do you like to have hanging around the place for decoration? Kid pics? Knick-knacks? ...the Monet or two? Well now, lots of kid pics here at home. Lotsa'. ...and work has the wolfpack. ...and the wizard that's taken up residence at the bottom of the Daynotes pages is living in the garage now. ...and a piece or two Shelley likes. So, a little bit of everything...
What's going on with you? Let us know, over on The Back Porch...
<sniff...> I just love happy endings...

Spring? No way...
...but that tree has become a wonderful maze:
...that these little guys are negotiating quite well.
Yeah, several hundred of them (kinda' interesting getting the shots).

No sunsets here for a while...
...at least not while the fog is in.
Although...
...and a bit later as the next bank moved in:
Yeah, that'll do...
01/20/2003 11:59:59 PMWe have boys...
Brad, referring to his Star Wars game on his Game Cube, "Dad, wanna' see me blow up my own planet?"
"Brad, this is why you're not allowed to have sharp objects..."
01/20/2003 12:35:02 PMA little something for everyone in the East...
Just hang on a little longer!
Any thoughts on that?
Newsfeeds anyone?
Yep, I've gone high tech and made an XML feed available for the domain...
If you use an aggregator, more information is available on the Daynotes pages for Wednesday and Sunday.
01/19/2003 00:30:05 AMSince the Internet is dead on weekends anyway...
If you're looking for a little light reading, that discussion I mentioned last Monday on Apathy and GenX has spun off rather nicely into The Sixties, Voting (or not!), The Seventies, Apathy from boomers and GenXers (perceived and otherwise) and sundry other topics:
Have a look if you have a moment. ...and the portal page now links both a Table of Contents and a Bibliography for your browsing pleasure.

On another dank, foggy day...
This was a joy to download and play... (turn your volume up and you can hear the wind!)
Simply wonderful!!! Thank you...
01/18/2003 01:30:30 PMOn a break...
I haven't done one of these in while...
One caveat: watch out for that syrup! Remember those toothpicks we used to soak in cinnamon? The ones that would cauterize your tastebuds? Yeah, like that.
...but that is the way I like it <g>.
